Winder Farms is well known in Utah for their locally sourced grocery items which can be shipped to your doorstep. They also have a number of products sold in grocery stores throughout the state as well as Las Vegas. I was delighted to try their eggnog simply for the fact that it was locally made and not distributed beyond my area. This review may not be all that helpful to anyone outside of Utah, but I can tell you, if you’re ever in the Salt Lake region during Christmas time, grab some of this eggnog. It’s worth it! Let’s start with consistency: this nog wasn’t very thick or thin. Right down the middle which makes it great for sipping, or guzzling. To be honest, the aroma did not have a strong, traditional eggnog smell which gave me a slight pause before taking my first sip. I’m happy to report that it was misleading as the flavor was very palatable and balanced. A hint of nutmeg was evident and the flavor was quite good. I would compare it to McDonald’s Eggnog Milkshakes. If there ever was a nog they based their shake off of, it would be this one solely based on flavor. I’m also relieved to say that there wasn’t any noticeable aftertaste.

Coming in at an average of 510 calories per 12 ounces, this is the leanest (non light) eggnog i've tested thus far so grab a few glasses of this and celebrate the season knowing that it could have been worse! Note - i’m referring to the eggnog :).

2 out of 4 stars.
